Sir Simon Rattle returned to Birmingham in March to conduct Bach's St Matthew Passion with the CBSO, chorus and an all-star line-up of soloists. Rattle talks to us about why he decided to conduct the work now, for the first time - and event he described as 'overwhelming' , and about 'coming home' to Birmingham.
