Get Involved

There are a number of ways you can get actively involved with the CBSO, whether you want to find out more about music, enjoy coming to concerts or making music with others.

Our learning and participation work sits at the heart of our programme and reaches over 35,000 people each year in diverse communities across the West Midlands. We're passionate about creating opportunities for people of all ages and every level of musical experience, and sharing the power of music to enrich life for everyone - regardless of background and financial means.

Each year thousands of people have the opportunity to sing, play, compose and experience live music through this award-winning education and community programme. And the wider CBSO family includes ensembles which draw their members from across the region - including an adult chorus, three youth choruses and a youth orchestra. The latest addition to the musical family is SO Vocal - an adult community choir in Selly Oak.

Within the concert hall, you can feel closer to the CBSO's music-making by taking part in our annual Singalong, coming to a pre-concert talk before the concert, or finding out more at a Tuned In concert and involving your family at our family and schools concerts.

You can also get involved by volunteering in a number of ways, or applying for job vacancies that are posted on the site.
