Meet The Team
Simon Webb
Director of Orchestral Management
Simon joined the CBSO in 2008 and is responsible for all choral, education and orchestra activity. A former cellist, Simon was a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra 1996-2005 where he also played a leading role in the LPO's education programme and was Chair of LPO Board of Directors for 5 years. Simon was a Fellow on the Clore Leadership Programme in 2007-8 and, as Administrative Director of Music in the Round, established Ensemble 360. He also worked freelance for ACE developing orchestral provision in Yorkshire and the Humber and programmed the international concert series at Sheffield City Hall.
